After the great success of the 25th Anniversary Panic day I was very pleased when it was suggested that we did the same thing again.
As it didn't seem right to organize a 26th anniversary day we agreed to An Avicraft aircraft day.This was held in 2007 and went so well we have decided to do it all again.
The day will be organized in the same way as the Panic Bi-Plane day. The adjacent Concord club will closed on the day so all frequencies will be used.
last year we had 19 planes in the air together.
We are aiming for there to be at least one of each of the kits that we have produced at the event.
With the arrival of the mini Panic and the mini Moronic
we hope to run a mini fun fly comp on the day.
This will be more in the way of a demo rather than serious compettion (tell that to the people flying).
If you want to enter the Plane must be electric, No more than a meter span and be produced by Avicraft. The limbo makes good spectator sport.
PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU WISH TO ATTEND
we need some ideas of numbers expected.
Planes either produced or designed by Avicraft (or both) are as follows :
The Panic Biplane, the Moronic, The Triffic trainer and the Frantic - the classic (a low wing moronic with a vintage feel) then with the advent of epp foam we produced some of the toughest planes Ever built.
The Bullet glider, the Prangster and the Skybuster (also a smaller version called the splat!).
We also produced a range of small electric fighters. These include a Hurricane, Spitfire, Kawasaki, a FW 190 and a Luscomb Silvair and then the Hacksoar the junior Hacksoar and The kestral (gliders)
We also have produced a few mini Depron panic style foam models and of coarse the 1 1/2 size Panic biplanes.
There are at least 15 different planes in the Avicraft range check your garage or loft You may well own one.
Copies are welcome on the day. If you own a plane that Avicraft produced and it is not on the list it is just my poor memory !!
