Brushless Motors

Brushless motors offer a much greater efficiency over a much wider power band at much higher speeds when compared to brushed motors.

Brushless motors are maintenance free and performance never decreases plus electrical noise is minimal compared to a brushed system and minimises interfere with the RC components.

Brushless motors require Brushless speed controllers since they are essentially 3-phase AC motors that are commutated electronically; a brushed motor speed controller cannot therefore be used.
