Hello there, my name is Sharon Newman and I own Wool@Avicraft.

THURDAY CLOSED
FRIDAY 3-5.30
SATURDAY 10-5.30

Mine is a traditional wool and haberdashery shop where I try, with my friends and staff to offer you help and service in a welcoming shop.
All the family work here and we all are involved in crafts and creative work in one way or another.
I started the wool shop in 2002 (ish) when I met and married the man who runs Avicraft model shop and found that model planes are not for me and the only way I could get to see my husband on a Saturday was to work near him.
A few years ago I was diagnosed with Antiphospholipid Syndrome, Lupus symptoms, arthritis and a very long list of other syndromes and itisis and it has been through the support of my customer's, friends, staff and the shop that I have managed to keep working and keep a very positive outlook (that and the drugs!!!)
I have an interest in the therapeutic benefits of crafts and love to meet people I can support through craft by teaching them to knit.
My picture below is my before picture so if you come in to meet me at the shop you will be a little surprise but hey this is business and marketting!
I still look like that inside!
