Why not have a go at knitting a Carnation!
Requirements - 1.5mtrs Knit-in Lace, approx 5g DK yarn, 4mm needles, Stuffing and a flower stem.
Method - Cast on 10 stitches
               Row 1    Knit                  Row 2   K1, inc into next st repeat to end of row
               Row 3    Knit                  Row 4   as Row 2
               Row 5    Knit                  Row 6   as Row 2
               Row 7    Knit                  Row 8   Knit with lace
               Row 9, 10 and 11 Knit
               Row 12  Knit with lace
               Row 13 and 14 Knit
               Row 15  K1, K2tog to end of row
               Row 16  Knit with lace
               Row 17   as row 15
               Row 18   Knit with lace
              Break off yarn, draw remaining sts together, pad with stuffing then stitch up.
              Attach to stem.

How to Knit with Lace
You need one hole to one stitch. Put the needle through the stitch and hole in the lace at the same time. Place the wool around the needle and knit the stitch in the normal manner (eg in, over, through, off). Lace must be cut (between the holes) at the end of each row.
